| Yoursource celebrates the 11th
anniversary as Canada’s top independent magazine for lifestyle,
design and architecture. Most new independent magazines do not survive their first year, but yoursource has now passed the critical five-year mark and is poised to become part of the establishment. Founded in 1997 by designer Kevin Fitzsimons as a digest-sized resource directory for industry, yoursource expanded in 1999 to become a full-sized magazine in response to consumer demand. Some of Canada’s leading journalists and photographers came aboard five years ago, to provide enhanced editorial coverage. The result has been five years of continued growth, and a couple of major awards from the National Magazine Awards.
